He has!!! ARIVED!!!!!

He's here he's here he's here!!!!!! Safe and sound!!! We sat down and did some coloring together!!!!

And also made sure he met his new neighbors! Had a nice chat with my childhood stuffed animal! Asking all about what his new home is like. And of course, he had to meet Boober Fraggle!

Watched some Winnie the Pooh together! I think he really liked it. I hope he felt warm and welcomed in my home. A nice and cozy first day here!

Shit last night I came across that one Jonathan post that starts with “you are 16 years old” and I went through the tags and saw someone say that Jonathan’s only comfort was music while Will had him and it got me thinking: what if Chester was Jonathan’s only comfort?

What if when all the times his parents fought, he sat with the little puppy and sobbed, trying to block out the noise in his room? What if when he did find Joy Division and all the bands he loves, he pet Chester for comfort while the screaming and yelling were drowned out? What if when after he shot the rabbit on his tenth birthday he had Chester with him the entire time he cried? What if when the first time Will experienced the length of Lonnie’s abuse, Jonathan brought their pal Chester in?

What if when Chester died, he once again cried for week but silently for he knows he has to be strong for his mom and Will cause who else will?

I went to my first plant swap and man. It was WILD.

Keep in mind I heard about the plant swap a little over 24 hours before it was happening. I have no plants to exchange, I barely even have seedlings yet. But I do have a bunch of seeds so I decide to roll up and see what I can do.

Its from 2 to 5. I show up at 2:12 and its mostly houseplants. But the local library branch has a tent and they’re letting people check out some gardening books they brought if they have a library card on them!

So I checked out “Seedswap: The gardener’s guide to saving and swapping seeds” by Josie Jeffery!

Woohoo!

(They also told me that if I want the library to set up seed libraries I should email showing interest because a lot of librarians have suggested it but public interest is needed 👀 special reminder to email/contact your local library about adding seed libraries if you haven’t got one already!)

I considered leaving but I decide to hang around and see if anyone else comes around with stuff that’s more my fancy (no disrespect to people who like houseplants but I have a 99% killrate with them and they’re just not my vibe) and

I obtained a Boxcar tomato, a Blackberry Lily, a variegated pepper, a hibiscus cutting, loofah seeds, okra seeds, and FOUR (4!!!!) peach tree seedlings!!!

HELLO??????

I spent like 6 bucks total (1 on a peach tree seedling, 5 on the pepper) and the rest was just seed trades (or the peach tree lady just… giving me more peach trees for being nice. Be nice to the elderly you might get peach trees out of it.) I was there for like an hour and a half TOPS.

(I had to pot up the peach tree seedlings myself but this is still a W in my book lets see if they survive)

The Tribbles were often seen lying in the grass with each other, bathing in the neighborhood’s warm sun. The other neighbors would join them on occasion as they walked by. Even our ever-busy mailman Eddie would stop by while delivering mail to join the cuddle-huddle! It was quite an enjoyable scene to see the neighbors dozing (Wally, of course, would say aloud ‘I’m sleeping, I’m sleeping, I’m sleeping…’) These moments only ended once Barnaby either stood up to look down at his napping friends or walked upon the cuddles late and yelled “Well, ain’t this the perfect setup for a dog pile!!” The neighbors had little to no time to move out of the way before the large dog jumped on top of everyone, only getting off the struggling neighbors if he was asked very politely to move or if someone was distressed

Sh*t, one more question; how aware are all the monsters of each other? I know Hawthorn can smell Grease's oil on MC, and I imagine Calmo at least suspects something's up due to how MC's heartrate occasionally increases when out and about, and the odd stains on MC's clothes, but how much do they know of the others' existance?

They're aware of each other. It's difficult to not notice another creature or machine hanging on your object of affection. There may be a brief time in the beginning when the monsters don't realize they're not the only ones pursuing MC, they quickly figure out that there are rivals and they are all not happy about it. Of course, the boys ask MC questions and MC is forthcoming about it—no need to hide what's so obvious.

The boys have fun first meetings with each other.

Bisan's video yesterday broke my heart entirely. Over the last two months this girl has become friend and family and the one of Gaza's brightest stars for people all over the world who follow her social media. She's the kind of person most of us only see as protagonists in books and shows; her force of will, determination, her insistence in finding the smallest hope (usually children and cats) and happiness among the ruins and terror have made millions fall in love with her. People like her and Hind Khaudary and Motaz makes you feel like things can still be okay as long as they're alive and fighting.

Yesterday, the bombs and massacres resumed. And reminded us once more than this is not a hero or a protagonist or beacon but a cold, scared, heart-broken girl who wants her life back desperately, even though everything she knows and loves is destroyed. I have never seen her so broken.

Please don't stop talking about Palestine. Don't give up on them, on her, on Motaz and Hind and Saleh. They're real people like you and me, going through an unimaginable horror, and we are the only hope and witness they have. We are all just drops in a vast ocean doing our best to change the current, but every drop is vital, and our only job is not to evaporate. If our friends in Gaza must survive, we can give them a reason to do so.

Al!Shadow x Alastor is what one might call Self Care. XD

I see it as sentient enough to read Alastor's real thoughts and emotions. It fell in love with him years ago and has been wearing Alastor down just as long. At this point they're a package deal!

It's the kind of QPR I wanna see. I mean, the amount of trust Alastor must have with his shadow. It teleports him all the time, for simply travel or to get him out of dangerous situations, like with Adam. It's a constant companion. It reads his emotions and thoughts and knows what he wants. They get along well. It also finds his hijinks funny. It's definitely a hype man and enables all of Alastor's dumbest shit.

And, I mean, considering it's his shadows, it's been with him the longest.

Like...ya'll no wonder no one can bag Alastor. Who can compete with his Shadow???? It's got everything.
